SUSTAINABLE BUSINESS MODELS AND ORGANISATIONS

Use of sustainability index for evaluation of municipalities’ WS maintenance
Challenge
Svenskt Vatten developed the Sustainability Index (HBI) starting in the autumn of 2011 with a launch of the tool in 2014. Aggregated results of HBI have been reported since 2015, but the pace of change towards gradually higher sustainability in the water service organizations seems to be slow according to these compilations. This study aims to conduct an investigation of which success-factors are behind the 10 most successful water service suppliers in Sweden.
Expected results
A questionnaire of about 60 questions will be reviewed with managers and leading politicians about how HBI is used and what added value and perhaps limitations it offers. The work will be presented as a scientific papers in peer-reviewed journal.
