Goodbye and congratulations to our Deputy Head of Programme
Our Deputy Program Manager is moving on to lead the Water for Vital Environments (WAVE) program – the largest ever water innovation initiative in Sweden.
WAVE is one of five new strategic innovation programs within the Impact Innovation initiative, an initiative from the Swedish Energy Agency, Formas and Vinnova.
Although we will of course miss Magnus as a driving and knowledgeable force in our program, we are so happy that he brings his expertise in infrastructure and water into a new, large initiative – which will shed further light on our core issues.
VA infrastructure will be the main focus of WAVE, which also further strengthens InfraMaint’s issues.
– It has been incredibly fun and instructive to be part of the program management for InfraMaint, and this is something I will benefit greatly from in the new program, says Magnus, who above all brings two insights from InfraMaint to WAVE:
– First, that it takes much more than more money and a few technical innovations to move towards sustainable management. We need to build the capacity of stakeholders to work strategically at all levels. And secondly, if there is legitimacy and priority for the issue among those who need to make the change, you can also get resources and achieve fantastic results. This is encouraging!
